Introduction

This Guide is made by AlfaTheBoss a player of Dank Prison - This guide is AlfaTheBoss opinions NOT Dank Prison.

Welcome to my personal guide for Champions (C1 / M101).

This guide will cover everything you need to know for when you hit C1, and the best strategy possible to progress in Champions so you can get Knight Rank.
I will be as informational as I can while attempting to keep it as short as I can, but prepare to read a lot of text. I will start with early champ things so you don't have to read all of it if you just got C1, and can always come back to read more later.

This is just my personal guide from grinding through the Champion Ranks, and some things here are just my opinion and maybe you will have better ideas of how to do things, but this is meant to give players who don't have a plan for what to do after hitting C1 some sort of guidance on their grind. Always try to innovate and create new meta, the new best strat could be around the corner waiting to be discovered. This is just what I came up with, some of them also being the most popularly used strategies on the server, but that doesn't guarantee them being the best ones.

++ Pets

Once you reach C1, you can start crafting Plus Plus (++) Pets. They are crafted the same way + pets are crafted, but they require combining two Plus (+) pets to make. This means to make a ++ you need 4 pets of the same type, and if the pet is like CrateFinder and goes up to Level 10, you will also need some petstones, atleast to level the pets from level 9-10 since it costs 10Qt which will be a lot for you at the beginning of Champs. You can also use stones on Level 8-9 (1Qt), but this means you will need 8 PetStones to make 1 ++ Pet. Important to note that /pex now allows you to exchange your 1MOG/2MOGT Crates for Pets 2 Times every week. Use this to get more pets you need, either for crafting into ++ or for PetStones.

This is my priority list for ++ Pets (also the same for + pets if you dont have all of those yet), from top to bottom:

  • Token++
  • Money++
  • Rankup++
  • Artifact++
  • CrateFinder++
  • CrateDoubler++
  • Luckyblock++
  • Luckyblock+++
  • LuckyKeys++

Important to note that Rankup and Money Pets max at Lvl 5 and LuckyKeys pet at Lvl 1, so you could get these right away without needing any PetStones. The rest of these pets will require Level 10 to max out.

These pets are the most important ones for Mining in my opinion, if you want to fish then the Key Pets would be priority, but I don't believe in fishing once you hit Champ due to Abundance being the best token maker in the game, and its consistently good while fishing is inconsistent and unreliable, atleast in its current state.

Enchants

There are a lot of important Champion Enchants, but the most important one you should focus first is Spiral, since you unlock 27 more levels of it at C1. More blocks mined = more of everything, which makes this the most important enchant to get.

After you have Spiral level 108, get the following enchants:

  • TripleLevel
  • ChampionMoney (not useful at the moment so you can skip it for now, but its only 22.5M tokens to max so might aswell get it)
  • ChampionTokens
  • ChampionFrenzy on your pickaxe and FishingFrenzy on your fishing rod. These will allow you to participate in Champion Frenzy (CF) and Fishing Frenzy (FF) when they occur once a day, and you definitely want to be online when these happen if you can.

You should use /genotify in-game to get a discord role that notifies you whenever these happen, since they proc at a random time every day.

When Champion Frenzy procs, it will state in chat that all Crates, Keys, and Money from Mining is doubled for the next 15 minutes for Champion Ranks who have the ChampionFrenzy Enchant, but what it doesn't say is that all of your Random Enchants Goals (RandomRankup, RandomPrestige, RandomMaster, and RandomChampion) will be going down twice as fast. This is very important for the rankup strategy I will go into detail of later, since it basically means you rank up twice as fast for the duration of Champion Frenzy.

Fishing Frenzy is a bit less important since most people don't fish much in champion ranks, since mining is much more important and helps you progress a lot faster. That being said, if you are online while FishingFrenzy procs, I would recommend participating in it anyways and fishing for 15 minutes while it lasts, since it will be doubling your Fish Caught, helping you get FC achievements faster and also maybe you will get lucky and fish up some good keys, which are guaranteed to double during FF.

Make sure you also get atleast 1 Level of every Random Enchant, so the goals (/goals or /sb 3) start counting down as you mine and getting you free rankups. I will go into detail of leveling these enchants later, since they will be your main tool for the rankup strategy I came up with and all of the current K1 players used when grinding champions. You can also get 1 level of every Double Enchant, which give you a certain % chance equivallent to the amount of levels you have of the Double Enchant to double the amount of ranks you get when a random enchant reaches 0 in the counter on /sb 3 or in /goals.

Two other new enchants you get are Mimic and DoubleRandomMoney, which will unlock 1 level every 10 or 5 Champion you rankup, respectively, so you can't get them yet at C1, but make sure you unlock them every time you unlock another level of each one.

Elevate is also an important enchant that I will mention in the rankup section of the guide.

Talents

You now have access to /ctal, the champion talent tree. The order of priorities here is very basic, and you should be upgrading it from left to right, while ignoring the 2 on the bottom (Champion Finder and Champion Finder+). I recommend going by this order (Random Rankup -> Random Prestige -> Random Master -> Random Champion), since this is the order of priority you will be maxing these enchants in aswell, so it makes sense to buff even more the ones that you are maxing first.

If you want, since fishing doesn't help progress your Random Enchants Goals because they only go down when you mine blocks, while fishing you can refund your Ctals and instead put the points into the Champion Finder and Champion Finder+ Talents. I personally don't bother doing this, but there's no reason not to.

Artifacts

At Champion, artifacts become a very important resource.

The first step is of course maxing out all of the basic ones (Sell, Token, LuckyBlock, and LuckyBlock+), which for now will be 100% of each. You can now use Artifact Powder to purchase Depth from David (NPC) in Spawn. Each level of Depth will give you another full layer of blocks broken per swing (full layer meaning 3x3, so 9 blocks). As mentioned before, more blocks mined = more of everything, so this is very important.

The first Depth level will cost you 150 Artifact Powder, and every time you unlock another level of Depth, your Artifact Cap on your pickaxe will increase by 10% for all of the base arts (Sell, token, lb, lb+), meaning after getting Depth 1 you will be able to get 110% of these artifact types.

I recommend not dusting any of your Sell Artifacts assuming you plan to get K1 one day, since at K1 the sell artifact cap goes up to 1000%. You can dust sell artifacts to rush the first level of depth faster, but I would generally recommend saving them for the future.

The price of Depth increases every level, and the full Price List of every level of Depth is available on the wiki.
I have been referring to sell, token, lb, and lb+ arts as the "basic" artifacts, since there are also CrateDoubler and KeyDoubler Artifacts, which at the moment can only be gained by trading artifact powder for them at a 4:1 ratio at the David NPC in spawn.

Since these Artifacts cannot be found in any other way (yet), you should decide if you wish to dust 4 artifacts for them or if you want to prioritize Depth first. I personally already had Depth 2 when these artifacts were released, so I maxed CrateDoubler on my Pickaxe to 100% before getting Depth 3. KeyDoubler isn't as important on a pickaxe so I wouldn't recommend wasting artifact powder on it, but CrateDoubler is huge for getting more crates which means more tokens, and also very importantly it makes most of the achievements and monthly tier crates a lot easier to obtain, since more crates found means you get more Crates Opened and more Items Salvaged, both of those being hard achievements to max and hard mtiers to reach tier 6 on. I personally recommend getting Depth 1, and then after maxing all the basic arts to 110%, going for CrateDoubler 25%, so you can get 25% more crates per minute. Then I would get Depth 2, and then either get CrateDoubler 50% or 100% before getting Depth 3. Neither of these options are necessarily the best and its up to you to decide what to prioritize.

Another thing you will need to use some Artifact Powder for is Awakenings, explained below.

Awakenings

Awakening scrolls can be purchased from David in Spawn, or from the store using /buy.

These scrolls will give your armor pieces special buffs for finding a specific type of crate/key, and the scrolls I recommend using at C1 (Scroll of Awakening+), also have a 50% chance to give you another Special Bonus.
I recommend only using Scroll of Awakening+ since they only cost 100T each, which is nothing for you at C1.

You will get 3 lines of awakenings, with a 50% for a 4th line.
The possible bonuses for the Special Bonus on the 4th line are:

  • ExtraFish % (chance to catch and extra fish)
  • Artifact % (chance to mine any of the 4 base artifacts)
  • DragonEgg %
  • PersonalBooster %
  • Momentum %
  • Specific Relic % (a bonus chance to find a specific relic, this can be any of the relics that currently exist)

The other awakening related scrolls are Scroll of Reversion (completely unawaken piece of armor) and Scroll of Augmentation (reroll any of lines 1-3 of an armor piece's awakenings). The ability to reroll any of lines 1-3 but not being able to reroll the 4th special line, means you will need to awaken and revert a piece of armor until you can get the 4th line bonus you are looking for. Once your 4th awakening is good, you can use scrolls of augmentation to reroll lines 1-3, to make them good aswell.

I personally highly recommend going for all Aritfact Bonus % on your 4th line awakenings on your mining armor, since artifacts are so important.

The max % you can get on any awakening at C1 is 7%, and at K1 it is 10%, so I try to get my 4th line awakening to be any artifact type and atleast 5% or higher. Don't waste too much artifact powder doing this, because if you get unlucky it can really use up a lot of powder.

For lines 1-3, I recommend getting low tier crates for your mining set, ideally as low as Token Crates or Common Crates. These have the most impact on your CratesOpened and ItemsSalvaged numbers, which are important both for achievements and for gang achievements, and for monthly tier crates.

This is my personal opinion, but I just think that going for high tier crates doesn't make a lot of sense since 7% more to find an immortal crate isn't very meaningful when the chance to mine them is already so small. I would keep bonuses for crates that are either UOG/UOGT or OG/OGT, but I wouldn't keep MOG or higher bonuses. For keys, I don't think key awakenings make too much sense on a mining set, since keys are already rare and aren't your main income of tokens anyways once you have abundance.

GKit Armor (Dragon Egg Armor)

I recommend using a SFVog or PurpleUrkle set for mining, and a GrapeApe set for fishing.

SFVog and PurpleUrkle are basically identical for mining, so I recommend using whichever you have a full set of first. GrapeApe gives you more FishCaught which is the only reason you would fish at Champion anyways, so its the best set for getting FC achievements faster.

During ChampionFrenzy, a lot of people like to go to the NetherMine or NetherMine+ to make even more money and have a higher chance at finding good loot. For this you want to use the NetherOG armor set.

Some people like to use 9lb while mining, so its optional aswell, I personally used to but I don't use it anymore since Sacrificing was released. Sacrificing (/sac) allows you to sacrifice DragonEgg Armor Pieces to buff the % of that same set you sacrificed. Meaning if you sacrifice a PurpleUrkle armor piece, for example, when wearing a full PurpleUrkle set, you will now have an 11% chance increase to mine and fish all crate types, up from 10%. This can go up to 50% for every armor set when you're in Champion, and up to 100% at K1 (except for DragonsBreath which can go up to 100x at Champion and 140x at K1).

I recommend keeping a full set of the following gkits: PurpleUrkle/Sfvog (whichever one you get first or have more of) NetherOG GrapeApe DragonsBreath (Optional since DL+ isnt that good anyways)

The rest of the gkits you can salvage and buy a dragonegg of a different type you need, at a 4:1 ratio (4 armor pieces = 4 dank dust = 1 dragonegg of your choice), and then use the extra armor pieces in /sac to boost your main mining gkit set.

Relics

For mining I recommend using Artifact Relic, and for fishing the ExtraFish relic. You can also combine artifacts of the same type to boost the % on them, except for ExtraFish Relic which can't be combined.

If you have extra relics that you don't need, you can dust them in the crafting area inside your inventory, and you can trade 3 relic dust for 1 random relic also inside your crafting area.
I recommend dusting any relics you know you won't need:

  • LuckyPetBlock
  • LuckyPetBlock+
  • PortKey
  • ExtraFish (any extras since you cant combine them, but keep 1 for fishing)
  • OverDrive
  • Frenzy
  • Rampage

These are all bad compared to the other ones, so I wouldn't keep them.
The reason I recommend keeping Magnitude, DoubleRandomMoney, DragonEgg and Momentum, even though I only recommend mining using Artifact Relic, is because those might be useful in the future, if stacking multiple relics is ever added. Its up to you if you want to keep them or not, and if you want to combine them or just keep 1 of each just in case.

Champion Rankup Strategy (The Alfa Strat)

This is the most important part of the guide, in my opinion, since everything else I wrote here could be understood just by reading the wiki and making your own decisions on what is the best relics, awakening, gkit armor, etc. All of my recommendations on what to use are just my opinion, and you could choose to ignore all of them.
Unlike everything else, this Rankup Strategy I invented, is currently what every single player who got K1 used, and what any Champion player trying to rankup is currently using. Until someone finds something better, this is objectively the best way to rankup past C1 on DankPrison. There are a lot of ways to change up the strategy, some of which I will mention, but at it's core its all based on the same concept that I came up with in November 2019.

The issue with ranking up once you get C1, is that it gets very expensive very quickly. Its not like Masters where you can just mine and if you're not making money fast enough you fish for a few hours and then you can keep mining with higher Prestigious. In Champions its basically impossible to make progress at a decent rate if you only use money, you need to use something else. The base of the strategy is built on the idea that ranking up is very cheap earlier on within the champions, the masters, and the prestiges, but it scales very quickly once you reach the high point of each one of these ranks.

For example, lets say you're a C1 Player, and you are M10 and P50. Going from Rank A to Rank X, might cost you as much as going Rank X to Rank Y.
The reason ranking up using money is impossible because the prices scale really hard towards the higher ranks within each bracket. This also applies for example for going from P0 to P25, which will be a lot cheaper than going P25 to P50, and going from M0 to M25 will be a lot cheaper than going from M25 to M50.
So clearly the issue we have when ranking up is those higher ranks being expensive. The way to solve this is simple when you're C1, and you do it using Random Enchants.

While going from Rank X to Rank Y might be as much as expensive as going from Rank A to Rank X, all it requires is one proc of RandomRankup, which even at its lowest level only requires mining 7000 blocks. Mining 7000 blocks will be a lot faster than gettng the money you need to rankup from X to Y, so its better to let the random enchants do it for you.
This is how you save your money, by using random enchants to "skip" through the expensive rankup, and using your money to speedrun the cheap ones. If you only mined using random enchants you would be going very slowly, but if you skip all of the cheap ranks for a small amount of money, you will be saving yourself a lot of time.

The important thing about this strategy is knowing how to adapt to your current rank and your current pickaxe worth, and adjust your enchants and your rankup speed accordingly.
For example, I currently Rankup to P30 Rank X or /ar master 833. I then mine until my random enchants rank me up to P31 A, and then do /ar prestige x. Let this work for every prestige, until eventually you hit a new master and again rankup to P30 X.
The speed you will be able to get a master in depends on the level of your random enchants and also on how much money you make, because if you don't make enough money to sustain going to P30 or going A to X every time, you will be massively slowed down.
At max random enchants, you can get about 10 Masters an hour. This is of course a lot slower when you're at C1, and you might only get 1-2 Masters an hour of mining. But this is still insanely faster than if you were just using only money or only random enchants to do all of the rankups for you.

This strategy is an important balance between your income and your ranking up pace, which you will learn over time as you use it more and more. Generally speaking you want to be able to save up enough money to rank up to M20 when you hit a new champion, which will save you even more time. So you must look at your income and adjust accordingly.
For example, if you notice you're gaining money when you go from A-X at first but then when you hit P70 you start losing more than you gain, then you can start going A-W or A-V at P70 to save your money, and that way you will still have enough to rankup to M15 or M20 or even higher when you hit a new Champion.
If you want to maximize the efficiency of this strategy, you need to know how much money ranking up to M15 or M20 costs, and calculate if its worth it to rankup a bit slower to save enough money to go to M20 instead of M15, or if it would be faster to just lose some money and only be able to get to M15 on new champion, and mine from there instead of starting from a higher master. Once you learn the speed you rankup and the speed you make/lose money in, you will be able to optimize this strategy if you wish to be as efficient as possible.

Some important numbers to know for rankups are:

  • /mr 833 is P30 X when you hit a new Master
  • /mr 40905 is M15 when you hit a new Champion

As for the enchants you should be using while doing this strategy, I recommend the following order (this is after already maxing Spiral and Abundance, and getting all of the other enchants I mentioned you should get in the Enchants section of the guide)

First you want to get Elevate 96, which you can then refund to get RandomMoney 100,000 and Enhancer 100. RandomMoney will be a massive help when using this strategy, since initially when you just hit C1, your fortune will be too low for prestigious and elevate to be worth their price, while randommoney doesn't depend on your fortune and will make you a lot of money to use for rankups and to be able to sustain your rankups.

RandomMoney has brackets where it scales more than the past bracket, which is why you want to get 100,000 level of it so you can get 100T every time it procs. You can use the command /randommoney (amount) to check how much each level would give you. I recommend getting 100K for now.

The next bracket you would need to get enough money to sustain your rankups would be RandomMoney 250,000, which will cost 26,250,225,000 Tokens going from 100k to 250k. This level of RandomMoney will give you 2.5Quad every time it procs, which will massively help you rankup higher and sustain your rankups.

While saving up to RandomMoney 250k, you should get Elevate 100 (Max), RandomRankup 300 (Max) and then dump the rest of the tokens into Prestigious to make more money until you can refund all of these for upgrading RandomMoney from 100,000 to 250,000. When refunding prestigious, make sure you have /s prestigious Enabled, so it doesn't go under 2500, because some champ enchants require 2500 prestigious to get and refunding it lower than that would automatically refund those other champion enchants.

While RandomMoney does go up to level 500,000. it only gives you 5Quad per proc, which means its only double what RandomMoney 250,000 gives you. This costs a lot of tokens, and isn't worth it since you can't refund RandomMoney, so stop at RandomMoney 250K for now.

Now you want to max RandomRankup again (Level 300, costs nearly 12B Tokens), and then get DoubleRankup 25 (3.25B Tokens).

Keep in mind that whenever you level up your random enchants and you rankup faster, you will also be making less money and eventually losing money, because you will spend less time mining in the lower masters and prestiges which is where you make most of your money since the rankup are so cheap. Once you hit M70 you might start to lose some money between every prestige, which means you can either keep going at the same pace and just go to a master when you hit the next champion, or change up your rankup pace by going A-W instead of A-X or going to P25 instead of P30, etc. Try to estimate in your head what would be worth it and what would save you more time.

If you're losing money now and don't want to rankup slower, you can get Elevate 100 and then get more Prestigious, until you make enough money to sustain yourself again.
Next you want to get DoubleRankup 50 (9.5B Tokens going from lvl 25 to 50).

After this, you can decide if you want to focus DoubleRankup more and go for DoubleRankup 100, or if you want to get RandomPrestige or Prestigious if you need more money. DoubleRankup 100 is good because it allows you to consistently double RandomRankup procs, which means you can go A-X and only need 2 procs of RandomRankup to get to the new Prestige, or go A-V and only need 3 procs, allowing you to save a lot more money while only slowing down rankup pace by 1 more RandomRankup proc per Prestige.

If you went for DoubleRankup 100 you can now max Random Prestige (Level 300 costs 24.675B Tokens), and get DoublePrestige 25 (4.875B Tokens). Again, if you need to make more money, you can go for more levels of Prestigious, or you can also get RandomMoney 300K (13.75B Tokens). This will mean every proc gets you 3Quad, which isn't a huge upgrade, but because there are gang perks that can double RandomMoney, there's the DoubleRandomMoney, and during Champion Frenzy all RandomMoney procs are doubled, this adds up.

After this you can get RandomMaster 100 (6.435B Tokens), and then DoublePrestige 50 (14.25B Tokens).

Important note: remember that when RandomMaster is about to proc, you should refund enchants so you can get more levels of DoubleMaster for a chance to get 2 Masters instead of 1. When you have Max RandomRankup, DoubleRankup, and Prestigious, refunding all of these down (RR to 1, DR to 1, and Prest to 2500) will give you enough tokens to get DoubleMaster 100, guaranteeing 2 Masters. Also get DoubleChampion before RandomChampion Procs, by refunding everything you're able to (except RandomChampion ofc so you don't reset the counter). From here you basically don't have much to do to increase your rankup speed, you can keep dumping tokens into prestigious to make more money and maybe start saving up for when you hit K1 so you can rankup a few champions, and then max RandomMaster and DoublePrestige.

While maxing out any enchant, if the next level for it is really expensive, you can dump your tokens into prestigious in the meantime and just refund it down when you have enough tokens in total to get whatever you're saving for.

Remember to get a level of DoubleRandomMoney every time you get 5 more Champions, and Mimic every time you get 10 (Up to C70 since there's only Mimic 7 at the moment).

This is basically the entire grind going from C1 to K1, using the most efficient strategy possible. The rest is up to you, and knowing how to change your rankups according to income as I already mentioned.
