Once you reach C1 or hardcore, you can start mining up powerful items. One of these items are relics
Relics are powerful items that give certain buffs. The buff is only active while you hold the relic in your offhand slot, so you can only have 1 active at a time. For those in hardcore, when you get to the next hc level and reset, you will keep whichever relic you are holding in your hand at the time of reset.
